Okay, okay. Last week I said multiple big titles were coming out that week. This week, no one apparently wants to compete with Call of Duty. The scary thing is, November is officially here. 2014 has two months left, and there’s still a handful of potential Game of the Year candidates. I tried Sunset Overdrive last week, and much like the stellar Saints Row games, I couldn’t get into it despite everyone frothing at the mouth about it (EDITOR’S NOTE: And yet again Don shows his lack of taste.). That’s another game I can cross off my list. This week, hopefully I get to sink my teeth into Fantasy Life and Call of Duty, both of which I am itching to play. But for now, back to Destiny and Knights and Dragons. Yeah, I know. Me and my silly mobile games..~Don P.

It’s that time of year again, Call of Duty with it’s annual release, this year it is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One) . Usually, I look forward to this series. A new set of maps, a new framework to advance through, and cut-throat competition with my beloved Battlefield series. This year, that threat is gone and replaced with two new threats. Destiny scratched my shooter itch, and the OMFGWOBBQSAUCE Halo collection is coming shortly after Call of Duty. Still, Advanced Warfare has some neat new tweaks that I am interested to see on the competitive battlefield. And it was developed in three years, instead of two. Will it break me away from Destiny? Better yet, will it be able to stand against the ultimate Halo collection next week? We’ll see in the coming weeks after release.

[one_third]Releases_BioshockI guess I don’t understand this one. Bioshock Infinite: Complete Collection (PS3 and Xbox 360) is coming to consoles, except it’s coming to last-gen consoles. Missed opportunity? [/one_third]

[one_third]Releases_BindingofIsaacThe Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (PC, PS4, and Vita) is the followup to indie charmer, Binding of Isaac. This time, though that little gem is coming to the Playstation family. Hardcore rogue-like fun! [/one_third]

[one_third_last]Releases_HarvestMoonHarvest Moon 3D: The Lost Valley (3DS) is not your typical Harvest Moon, farming game. You can manipulate the terrain a la Minecraft. While milking cows. And befriending that cute farm boy neighbor. [/one_third_last]
