And just like that, the summer is over. But while the blockbuster summer season may have closed down for business, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t films to see. In fact, for the first time in a few weeks, there are multiple movies I want to get out and see. ~Chris
You’re Next has one of the most generic titles I’ve seen for a horror film in quite some time and on paper, the film proper should be utterly generic as well but the trailers have really turned me on to this on. It looks like a smart and legitimately scary twist on the home invasion genre. Honestly, I think it is the masks that do it. Those masks are super creepy.
Edgar Wright finally wraps up his Cornetto Trilogy with The World’s End where Simon Pegg and Nick Frost go bar hopping in the middle of an alien invasion. If the first two films in the trilogy, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, are any indication, this one should be right up fan’s alleys.

I wish I could sit here and tell you I have any knowledge of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones but outside of it being based on a young adult novel, I have no clue. It does have some incredibly pretty people in it but if Beautiful Creatures and The Host have taught us anything, pretty people don’t always amount to box office success in this genre.
