In terms of quantity, there is not a lot going on this week. It’s all Destiny. Or NHL, but that group is far smaller than the group looking at picking up Destiny this week. Fall is here, which means a storm of games is coming. Thankfully, Destiny is coming out before said-storm, so I get a few weeks to enjoy it. Could you imagine if they released this in, say, October? Early November? I would feel sorry for the rest of the games. I want two quality weeks with Destiny, and then Payday 2 needs to come to Xbox One. Crap, I forgot Theatrhythm is coming out next week. *sigh* ~Don P.

The time is finally here. Destiny (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One). Bungie and Activision are set to deliver their highly-anticipated title, and I for one hope it lives up to the expectations. My time in the beta a month or so ago sold me on the game, now it’s time to see if it passes. While I loved exploring the environments and killing random clusters of enemies, the competitive multiplayer was not for me. At least, back when things were limited. The only concern I have is the low level cap. But, until we see how it works out, I won’t complain. Instead, I’m just sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for UPS to deliver the goods this Tuesday.

Hockey fans can rejoice, especially those that have adopted into the current-gen systems. Last year, Xbox One and Playstation 4 owners got Madden and FIFA, but not EA Sports’ hockey effort. NHL 15 (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, & Xbox One) has the usual enhancements; better physics, better textures, and improved commentary all round out the latest NHL title. But if you haven’t quite bit the bullet and upgraded to the latest consoles, the older version is going to be lacking most of these improvements. But the more I read about the differences, the more convoluted it seemed, so if you have to know, read here on Wikipedia. Because Wikipedia knows all.
