Well, Destiny is out. There’s also a lot of mixed feelings on the game, it seems. I will briefly say, in this off-topic-as-usual monologue, it is my game of the year so far. I’m level 21 and still itching to play more. But, I may have to put things on hold because Curtain Call finally comes out this week. And strategy gamers should definitely check out Spacecom (our review coming soon). But now, I’m back to my Destiny binge….~Don P.
One of my favorite 3DS games was the original Theatrhythm game, but I’m still a little hesitant to crown it’s successor, Theatrythym Final Fantasy: Curtain Call (3DS), a worthwhile followup. See, it’s basically the same game just with more stuff in it. Stuff being songs and characters, plus the inevitable multiplayer mode. So I am a little nervous as to whether I will fall in love again. Then I played the original and remember why I loved the first game so much. I love a good grind fest, and let’s face it, nothing compliments a good grind session like good music, right? Some of my absolute favorite music is from the Final Fantasy series. Plus, it’s about time for a good rhythm game to come out again.
[one_half]The term “real-time strategy” rarely, if ever, mixes well with the world “simple” but Spacecom (PC) is a perfect mixture of those two. I played a little with Tony back when he wrote his preview (and should be soon after writing this for his review), and I loved how simple and intuitive the game was to learn, but still challenging at the same time. [one_half_last]Fairy Fencer F (PS3) is a title I’m honestly curious about. How do you get a title like Fairy Fencer F? Just off the top, I would assume this was fighting game like Darkstalkers or something, and everyone had the pokey little swords you use in fencing. Except, it’s a JRPG from NIS. Ah, now it makes sense, right/[/one_half_last]
Also Available:
