So I’m a day late. My bad. I got stuck doing a raid on Destiny with some random people I found on a forum, and none of us had any idea what we were doing. Couple that with the lack of Destiny pointing us in the right direction, and we were completely shoeless (read: South Park reference). That’s fine though; I survived, and here I am. A few key games for the year are releasing this week, mostly more Crusader Kings 2 content, so you should go buy that and keep playing that fine game. Meanwhile, I’ll keep grinding away for upgrade materials for my new, fancy Raid gauntlets…~Don P.
It’s a shame that Borderlands: The Prequel (PC, PS3, and Xbox 360) is coming to last-gen consoles only. I mean, sure, I could unplug my Xbox One and plug my PS3 back in, but that doesn’t sound like fun at all. This is coming from someone who voted for Borderlands 2 to be Game of the Year when it released. Well, if Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition and Destiny (lol) haven’t cured your loot fix, Borderlands returns for another round. Honestly, the loot drops in Borderlands are truck-fulls compared to the paltry loot drops in Destiny, or decent loot drops in Diablo 3. It was the story though, that kept me and my wife engaged to Borderlands 1 and 2, and I’m sure when the Borderlands: The Prequel Super Awesome Edition releases on current-gen consoles, we’ll play it split screen.
[one_half]October is “horror month” pretty much everywhere. If I need to explain why, please remove yourself from your domicile and go outside for a moment. It wouldn’t be month of horror without some sort of scary game coming out. It’s prime time for the likes of The Evil Within (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One) to release, and with a game quote like “This is the Resident Evil 4-style followup we have been waiting for” by Game Informer highlighted on the game’s website, I’m pretty much sold. That kind of sums it up, and if correct, I’ll be playing it for sure.[/one_half]
[one_half_last]I am shocked to see another CK2 expansion, but Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne (PC) looks like a worthy addition for sure. Along with the famed character from history and events to tie along with said-person, the expansion kicks the start date back a large number of years, much like my favorite expansion The Old Gods did. Also, a “Chronicle” feature comes into play, which highlights your key events. An old favorite of mine, getting more love from Paradox. Looking like a good week, kids.[/one_half_last]
[one_third]Haven’t played enough Minecraft yet? Minecraft: Vita Edition (PC and Xbox One) comes out, with cross buy, so you can craft and mine on the go.[/one_third]
[one_third]I’m a huge South Park fan, so something tells me I will be playing the two tables releasing for Pinball FX/Zen Pinball2, South Park: Super Sweet Pinball (PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). Especially since one of them is dedicated to Butters.[/one_third]
[one_third_last]Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (PS4, PC and Xbox One), ais probably something you should play if you missed it the first time around. It was a sleeper hit for sure, with a good story and fun gameplay.[/one_third_last]
