I had been putting off this release list all weekend because I have this love-hate relationship with Grid 2. And I didn’t really know much about the games coming out this week, save a few, which meant I was going to have to do some research. Now, I’m glad I did because I am pretty excited for Remember Me. One of the perks of having to do this every week is that I learn about games I usually dismiss. And one of the perks of reading this every week is learning about games that you usually dismiss. 🙂 ~Don P.

If for one reason or another you have not played Skyrim yet, you are in for a treat. Bethesda is releasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Legendary Edition) (PS3 & X360) this week which contains the main game and all of the DLC available. Skyrim remains one of my favorite games this generation, though I never had the time to drop into the DLC when it finally hit the Playstation 3. [/one_half]

I was always interested in the DC Universe MMO, but I’m just not a big DC Comics fan. Of course, after reading my Injustice review, you may think otherwise. I’m just more of a Marvel guy I guess, which is fine because Marvel Heroes (PC) is coming out. The assortment of historic costumes you can collect is probably the thing that has me the most interested, and I will probably end up giving it a try this week. [/one_half_last]
Admittingly, I ignored Capcom’s Remember Me (PS3, PC, & X360) until now. Capcom hasn’t really produced anything that has interested me in quite some time, so I just brushed this one off. I just finished watching a gameplay video from last year and oh-em-gee! Well not to that degree, but still. Remember Me puts you in the role of a female protagonist who has had her memory wiped in a futuristic setting where privacy is no more. There’s climbing around, there’s combat, and there isn’t much else coming out this week so it’s kind of a no-brainer why Remember Me is featured prominently. Also..props to Capcom for picking a decent week to launch.

Now I love turn-based strategy games, but these real-time games just fly right over my head. Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion – Forbidden Worlds (PC) is an expansion to the game that came out last year. New planet types, bonuses, technologies – what more do you need in a $4.99 expansion? Planetary Annihilation (PC) is another RTS coming out, but as an Alpha. This one was crowd funded and can host battle with up to 40 players. To me, that sounds pure chaos and an epic time sink.[/one_third]

As with quite a few other zombie survival games I have followed in the past, The State of Decay (XBLA) promises grand things like “put your survival plan to the test” and “an open sandbox”. From the bit that I read, it sounds very interesting on paper and it’s another reason I wish I had an Xbox.[/one_third_last]
