It’s hard to drag myself away from my new toy. My Xbox One has not only lived up to my expectations; it has exceeded them. But, I didn’t think I could get away with skipping two weeks in a row without doing my release list. It’s still pretty slow, but a few more big releases as opposed to last week. May has a few bigger titles coming, though, so you may want to save your money. Go download Disco Zoo on your phone, and come back to see what’s coming out next week.  ~Don P.

If HD remasters are your cup of tea, but Final Fantasy is not, God of War: Collection (Vita) may be a better choice for you. Much like the PS3 title a year or two ago, this is a combination of the Playstation 2 classics, God of War and God of War 2, only instead of on a disc, on a tiny memory card. The original God of War was fun, minus the quick-time events, but the series grew stale to me personally. That said, it’s widely popular, and I know as soon as I mentioned it to my wife that it was coming to Vita, I had a feeling I would have to buy it. For some reason, she likes Kratos. Not quite sure why….

[one_half]sportsfriendsLocal multiplayer games of the competitive nature are getting more and more rare these days. With a title like Sportsfriends (PS3 & PS4), I assumed this was some sort of strange chat program during sporting events. It turns out, this was a crowd-funded game, and features four local competitive games with a highly-retro look. It’s crowd-funded, so it has to be worth looking into, right?[/one_half]

[one_half_last]releases04_MythologyYet another classic coming back for seconds, Age of Mythology (Extended Edition) (PC) is sure to cure that strategy itch. It’s been a little while since we’ve had something in the strategy genre, but then again, we were bombarded in March. Age of Mythology is like Age of Empires…with minotaurs and other mythological beings/creatures at your disposal. It is also enhanced with a ton of the usual Steam upgrades, like Steam workshop, trading cards, and achievements. [/one_half_last]
