This week, I’m sharing a sad fact (you just want us to believe you think it’s a sad fact- editor). Due to reading an article on Polygon not too long ago about the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood mobile game, I decided to give it a whirl. It’s not bad, in fact, though Hollywood is a much slower game for people that don’t want to throw money at it. Game time in sittings is very brief, the equivalent of my time actually playing Family Guy: Quest for Stuff. But, it is kind of entertaining, especially if you ever dreamed of being a super model. I say all of that to share the actual sad fact: I would have to cut my beard to pursue this dream of mine. Eh, on to the releases! ~Don P.

Releases29_RogueLegacy

I’ve waited a long time for this, and Rogue Legacy (PS3, PS4, and Vita) finally comes to my beloved handheld. I bought Rogue Legacy on sale last summer while my wife and kids were on vacation without me. Even though I do not like playing action games with a keyboard, I still spent many hours on it. The blend of random level regeneration and character progression was perfect to me, and  Rogue Legacy ranked very high at my end of the year top games list. I anticipate many more hours playing now that I have a controller I can use. If you skipped out on the PC version, I highly recommend getting this if you have a Playstation system. The cross-buy option makes it an even bigger win.

[one_half]Releases29_NinjagoThis title is not quite at the scale as the console LEGO games, but parents may take notice that kids love LEGO games regardless. LEGO Ninjaga Nindroids (3DS & Vita) may be something worth a purchase if your child has already mastered the rest of the games. You play with a variety of the ninja characters fighting a cybernetic invasion or something along those lines.[/one_half]

[one_half_last]Releases29_MountyourFriendsThis game looks hilarious. Mount Your Friends (PC) appears to be a complex variation of World of Goo, where the player has to stack people with floppy, thonged penises on top of each other. Please, if I can implore you to do one thing this week, watch this trailer (included at the bottom of this weeks release list).[/one_half_last]

[one_half]Releases29_TheRoomAnd this week’s mobile-to-PC port award goes to The Room (PC), a very popular game on iOS and Android. The Room is an adventure game, where I presume you are in a room solving puzzles. The game has been overhauled with beautiful graphics, and also includes the DLC from mobile devices.[/one_half]

[one_half_last]Releases29_TrailsintheSkyIf it has been a while since you had your console-style, retro-inspired RPG fix, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (PC) hits Steam this week. Legend of Heroes looks like something you’d see on the Playstation 2, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s been releases on a variety of systems before, including the PSP and PS3, but now comes to Steam in North America.[/one_half_last]
