One more week until Europa Universalis IV! Oh, but in the meantime,  some games come out this week. There’s lots of dragons actually, and some planes. Also, some game about controlling little monster-alien-things. And no, sadly, it’s not Pokemon.~Don P.

[one_half]DragonsCrownAs I tend to play mostly Playstation 3 and Vita titles, it’s rather strange that I know little about Dragon’s Crown (PS3 & Vita), but that is the case. Dragon’s Crown does take advantage of the cross-save ability, so being able to play where ever you are is a big bonus for this exclusive. This game blends side-scrolling action with light RPG elements, so I may have to give it a shot at some point. [/one_half]

[one_half_last]DivinityPickRiding dragons and battling high in the sky sounds like an epic time, right? Agreed and Divinity: Dragon Commander (PC) has my interest because it has dragons. I didn’t like the Elder Scrolls games, but when I heard Skyrim had dragons, I wanted to play it. Same goes for this. One part turn-based strategy and one part real-time action high in the skies – where do I sign?[/one_half_last]

PikminPick

This is the reason to go buy a Wii U, according to our very own Jeff Derrickson. I have been on the Perfectly Sane Show a few times when Pikmin 3 (Wii U) was talked about, and Jeff just has an absurd level of excitementfor this game. The first two Pikmin titles were Gamecube games but somehow Nintendo managed to hold off making a third title for a whole console life. The wait is over though, and the time has come to go back to commanding these little alien dudes.

[one_third]SuperFrogHDWhen I saw the title for  Superfrog HD (PS3 & Vita) I thought to myself, “You know, self, the more I think of Frogger, the more I want to play Frogger.” Sadly, Superfrog HD is not a new Frogger game at all. On the plus side, it is made by Team 17 and it is an HD re-imagining of their classic non-Worms game, so there is that I guess. [/one_third]

[one_third]DisneyPlanesI like watching grown adults complain about the upcoming movie (and game) Disney Planes (3DS, DS, Wii, & Wii U) because when you sit down and look at it, it’s for kids. I loved the Cars movie (at least the first 3,457 times I watched it), but it’s for kids. It’s great, fantastic even, that adults like it too, but think of the kids next time you complain about Planes. Oh, and there’s a game about the movie coming out, too.[/one_third]

[one_third_last]MortalKombatKompleteThis was one of the big games to move the fighting genre forward, and Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition (PC) finally makes its way to Steam. Komplete Edition has all of the DLC (including Freddy Krueger and more importantly, Rain), this game pushed story-telling in fighting games to a whole new level. I highly recommend it.[/one_third_last]

[one_half]GunCraftPickI’m usually not into “build your own things” type games. LittleBigPlanet didn’t amuse me, Minecraft’s visuals looked terrible, but on paper, GunCraft (PC) looks like a lot of fun. Create your own weapons, levels, and characters, then play with them all. It makes me wish I was actually into block building games.[/one_half]

[one_half_last]Sims3DragonMore dragons! The Sims 3: Dragon Valley (PC) is the 127th expansion to the beloved people simulator. I’m just kidding, there are only just shy of 20. That’s a lot, mind you, but this time there’s dragons. So, assuming you read above, you can do the math. Is this where I buy Sims 3? No, not really.[/one_half_last]
