Completely off-topic, as per usual in these openings, I have traded Farmville 2: Country Escape for Family Guy Quest for Stuff on my phone, and temporarily traded Marvel Puzzle Quest for the ridiculously unrewarding yet still addictive WWE SuperCard. Anyways, this week is Madden, followed by a super-light week, but I’ll probably be spending most of my time playing Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition because I have hooked my wife into that awful drug. I feel like a drug dealer now when the kids go asking my wife if she wants to play Diablo III….~Don P.
This week, the big release is the annual drop of the sports supergiant, Madden 15 (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One). This may be a little confusing for casual fans like myself, or parents trying to buy the latest game because on paper, last years Madden 25 would appear to be the newest game. Hopefully little Timmy and Tony go with their parents this year to get their football fix, but I digress. With football season starting up, everyone is getting into the spirit. There are a bunch of enhancements this year, a lot of those being delivered to the AI and animations, but even Connected Careers gets some tweaks. All of that said, I’m still sad there is still no Vita version.

This weeks remasters for current-gen consoles is a duo of post-apocalyptic games packaged into one disc, Metro Redux (PC, PS4, and Xbox One). This includes Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033. I didn’t get a chance to play the first one, which I really wanted to play, but I did not enjoy Last Light from my brief (and buggy) sitting on the Playstation 3. This is also the Playstation family’s first taste of the original (2033).[/one_half]

The inFamous series has been a big hit on the Playstation consoles, offering players the ability to play as a unique superhero in a sandbox city. inFamous: First Light (PS4) is a new tale with a new character available to download this week, enhancing the lore to players who played inFamous: Second Son. The aforementioned game is not required to play First Light, however, as it is a stand-alone expansion. New city, new character with new powers- all for $14.99 USD.[/one_half_last]

A weird twist that has me more curious as I ponder on the logistics of it, Zen Pinball 2 get Walking Dead Pinball (PS4 & Vita) this week. The table changes with the “choices” you make as you play, and it’s based on the Telltale Games adventure series, not the TV show. Though one based on the TV show would be cool too, just saying.[/one_half]

Collectible card games are all the rage, and Draconian Wars (PC) hopes to capitalize on this little trend. Claiming to be the “most challenging and strategic online card game”, it probably has more rules to follow than casual CCG players like myself can stomach, but if you are deep into the genre, it may be worth looking at.[/one_half_last]
