April was lax in bringing us any new games but with May’s big titles fast approaching and Don having bought an Xbox One we see a bit of a shift in the rankings.
With that in mind, we bring you the 2014 may Power Rankings.
10t. Quiz-Up (9 points, new entry)
When big triple A titles fail to impress the guys turn to other things and Quiz-Up on mobile dominated their play-time in April.
10. Galactic Civilizations III (9 points, -1)
The ship builder has been added to early access. Let’s go wild!
9. Mario Kart 8 (10 points, new entry)
If you have a WiiU, this is the game you’ve been waiting for over the last three months. It’s almost here.
8. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (12 points, -3 position change)
It’s Diablo how everyone wants it.
7. Alien: Isolation (14 points, no change, 1 first place vote)
In space no one can hear you scream. If this game doesn’t turn out good, everyone will be able to.
6. Civilization: Beyond Earth (15 points, new entry)
A new civilization game in space? Sign me up. But why did they dump the Alpha Centauri name?
5. South Park: The Stick of Truth (16 points, -2 position change)
We didn’t expect it to hang around this long but it’s that good.
4. Halo 5 (19 points, no change)
This game won’t be on the list next month. Next fall? I need a tissue…
3. Watch Dogs (19 points, +3)
Anticipation is rising.
2. Destiny (37 points, -1 position change)
We’re not sure what Destiny really is but we are excited to find out.
1. Titanfall (40 points, +1 position change, four first place votes)
The last 30 seconds of the matches are better than most complete matches from other shooters.
On the Bubble
Assassin’s Creed: Unity
Lord of the Rings: Shadow of Mordor
Tropico 5
