As we inch closer to 2015, our personal Top Tens are starting to take shape. But before we declare a Game of the Year for 2014, here are our final Power Rankings of the year. Will this resemble our overall Top Ten when all is said and done? Who knows…

Last Month’s Rankings

9. Far Cry 4 (11 points, new) – Ubisoft’s big open world shoot-a-thon seems to actually work and that is a nice change of pace from the status quo last month.

7t. Forza Horizon 2 (13 points, -3 position change) – Microsoft’s open world racer is great. But it is starting to slide against the rest of the competition.

7t. South Park: The Stick of Truth (13 points, -1 position change) – The Stick of Truth is like a bad penny, except it’s not bad.

6. Mario Kart 8 (14 points, +3 position change) – New DLC has rejuvenated Nintendo’s great little racer and I expect it will be part of the Top Ten for Game of the Year.

4t. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (17 points, -1 position change) – Jeff and Chris have championed this game since release and they seem to really like it, but does the budget puzzler have a shot at the big list?

4t. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (17 points, +1 position change) – Shadow of Mordor continues to impress the staff of Critically Sane.

3. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (22 points, new) – If you had told us that Call of Duty would crack the list this year we would have laughed at you but… here it is.

2. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (25 points, no change) – This expansion to Diablo III (included in the Ultimate Evil Edition) is the best loot fest going right now.

1. Titanfall (35 points, no change, 3 first place votes) – It has dominated our power rankings for most of the year and has to be the front runner for Game of the Year from us.

If you had to predict your top 10 list at the end of 2014, what would it look like? Let us know in the comments below.
